on energy

When I think of us, it’s swimming under water with all my clothes on, it’s impossible to find my way home, it’s the longest drive I’ve ever taken. I get hair in my eyes and can’t get the words off my lips. You leave me tangled, tongue tied, and transparent.

In the spring we measure time by the direction flowers grow and in the fall by how quick they can die. No cubic, decimal, time table, ruler, clock can tell me what to make of what passes between fingertips. Einstein proved space and energy are inextricably connected, one shapes and creates the other, cannot exist alone.

If energy cannot be created or destroyed then what happened to what happened between us?
