Irons To The Truth

So I had a simple conversation
with this boy about the wind
I asked him all the different ways
that he wouldn’t let her in
He told me, “loves a lot like learning
it gets better while you grow
and the lazy don’t stick around
to see the second half the show.”
I looked at him with just one eye
covered the other to see the truth
because once a song bird told me,
“there are seven versions of the You.”
He kept drawing out these pictures
with vague words and similes
about all the different women he’d visit
and how he’d sailed all the seas
And I kept wondering about the concept
of love and how we leave
because seven parts of you
are still seven parts of me
